“The Veterans Affairs Resource Center invited Alex Simmons to do a 4 day event for Black History Month, culminating with a workshop entitled, THE COLOR OF PEOPLE, COMICS & the MILITARY on Veterans Day.
The event was sponsored by and for the military students of Bronx Community College. The students walked away from the workshop ecstatic about what they learned as Alex combined Black History, film (Redtails) and comics to give an enlightening and exciting presentation.
